This policy explains what the SWOS member app and website collect, why, and your choices. এই নীতিতে ব্যাখ্যা করা হয়েছে SWOS সদস্য অ্যাপ ও ওয়েবসাইট কী তথ্য সংগ্রহ করে, কেন করে এবং আপনার অধিকার কী।

1. Information we collect / আমরা যা সংগ্রহ করি

  • Account & profile: name (Bengali/English), email, phone, WhatsApp, address, parents’ names, profession, institution, blood group, districts, date of birth, and National ID (NID) — provided by you.
  • Profile photo and event photos you upload.
  • Membership, dues, donations, expenses, event registrations, meeting attendance, and check-in records tied to your account.
  • A device push-notification token (to deliver notices).
  • Basic technical/log data needed to operate the service securely.

আমরা নাম, ইমেইল, ফোন, ঠিকানা, রক্তের গ্রুপ, জন্মতারিখ, জাতীয় পরিচয়পত্র, ছবি এবং সদস্যপদ/চাঁদা/ইভেন্ট সংক্রান্ত তথ্য সংগ্রহ করি।

2. Device permissions / ডিভাইস অনুমতি

  • Camera — to scan event/meeting QR codes for check-in and to take a profile photo. Camera images are used only for those actions.
  • Photos — to let you choose a profile picture.
  • Notifications — to send you event and meeting notices.
  • Biometric (fingerprint/Face ID) — used only on your device to unlock the app. Biometric data never leaves your device and is never sent to our servers.

3. How we use your information / ব্যবহার

To run membership, dues and donations, event registration and check-in, meetings and attendance, notices, and to keep records accurate. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Sharing / তথ্য বিনিময়

Your data is stored on our organization’s systems and shared only with authorized SWOS administrators for the purposes above, or where required by law. Push notifications are delivered via the Expo/Firebase push services and Google/Apple’s delivery networks.

5. Security & retention / নিরাপত্তা

Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. We retain your information while your membership/account is active and as needed for the organization’s records. আপনি চাইলে আপনার অ্যাকাউন্ট ও তথ্য মুছে ফেলার অনুরোধ করতে পারেন।

6. Your rights / আপনার অধিকার

You may access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data by contacting us. We will respond within a reasonable time.

7. Children / শিশু

The app is intended for organization members and is not directed to children under 13.

8. Changes / পরিবর্তন

We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will change accordingly.
